Any defendant who has had court fines and costs assessed in a traffic, criminal traffic, misdemeanor, or felony case is eligible for the program.
Any Petitioner or Respondent who owes fees to file a Civil case AND who meets the financial criteria to be determined as indigent per F.S. 57.082.
Traffic payment plan agreement has to be signed and received within 30 days from date citation was issued.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Your driver's license may be suspended, depending on the case type.
If payment is not received within ninety (90) days from date of delinquency notice, the account will be sent to collections and additional fees will be incurred if applicable.
How much are the payments and when do they begin?
Monthly payments are required and will be due the same date each month coinciding with the payment plan inception date.
Amounts in addition to scheduled monthly payment will be applied to the balance.
How do I make my monthly payments?
The Citrus County Clerk of the Circuit Court accepts cash, personal check, cashiers check, money orders and credit cards. There will be a service fee from the credit card vendor. Credit card payments can be made online at the Online Payment Center
Payments are also accepted at our Inverness office.
